Jole Title: Business Planner Restaurants

Function: Restaurants Division Strategy & Planning
Role Purpose
Use data to provide clear, actionable insights and plans that improve restaurant revenue, profitability and guest metrics across all brands (China Bistro, India Bistro, Art of Dum, Glocal, etc.). The role sits between Operations, Marketing, Finance and Aggregator teams to turn numbers into decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Performance analytics
- Own performance dashboards for all outlets (weekly/monthly/annual) sales, covers, ATV, channel mix (dinein, delivery, aggregators), discounts and key cost KPIs.
- Analyse trends by brand, region, daypart and channel. Highlight risks/opportunities and participate in planning specific actions with marketing and restaurant brand head.
- Track impact of campaigns, menu changes, pricing and aggregators on revenue and margins.
2. Business planning & forecasting
- Support annual AOP and budget for the restaurants division: Volume, Sales, Discounts & Promotions and other key cost lines.
- Build and maintain rolling forecasts (monthly / quarterly) at an outlet and brand level.
- Work with Operations and Marketing to convert plans into clear numeric targets (covers, ATV, mix, productivity)
3. Decision support for Operations & Marketing
- Provide databacked inputs on new outlet feasibility, catchment potential and rampup assumptions.
- Evaluate promotions, pricing moves and menu engineering initiatives with pre/post analysis.
- Partner with Marketing on campaign targeting, outlet prioritisation and ROI measurement (offline + aggregators).
4. Data quality & tools
- Coordinate with Finance, IT to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
- Simplify reporting fewer, sharper dashboards that outlet managers and leadership can actually use.
- Help set up basic planning tools (Excel/BI) for scenarios, sensitivities and whatif analysis.
5. Management reporting
- Prepare concise MIS and review decks for weekly ops reviews and monthly leadership meetings.
- Translate data into 35 key messages and clear followup actions per review.
Candidate profile
- Min 58 years experience in business planning, FP&A, strategy or analytics, ideally in F&B / retail / QSR / hospitality / consumer.
- Strong with Excel and BI / dashboard tools (Power BI / Tableau / similar).
- Ability to work with large transactional datasets (POS, aggregators, CRM) and turn them into simple stories.
- Comfort working crossfunctionally with Operations, Marketing, Finance and external partners.
Structured thinking, high ownership, and the ability to present insights clearly to senior leadership.
