The project requires SMEs who can work confidently with Business Law academic content, textbook chapters, assessment materials, instructor resources, and presentation content, while maintaining accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with the updated textbook edition.

This is an excellent opportunity for Business Law professors, lecturers, teaching assistants, graduate students, legal academics, and qualified legal professionals with strong academic or content-development experience who are interested in contributing to Higher Education learning content.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Compare previous-edition files with current-edition copyedited files to identify changes and accurately update associated academic supplements.

  • Develop, write, review, and update content across multiple supplement types, including:
  • Test Banks
  • Instructor Manuals
  • Solutions and Answer Guides
  • PowerPoint Presentations
  • Transition Guides
  • Ensure supplementary materials accurately reflect the updated textbook content and maintain consistency across resources.
  • Write clear and descriptive alt text for PowerPoint slides to support accessibility requirements.
  • Review content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and alignment with the source material.
  • Manage assigned work independently and submit completed content in batches according to the agreed production schedule.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Essential

  • Strong subject-matter knowledge of Business Law
  • Strong written English and academic writing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to review and validate large volumes of academic content accurately
  • Ability to identify differences between textbook editions and appropriately update related materials
  • Strong proofreading, editing, and content-review skills
  • Ability to work independently on assigned chapters and content
  • Ability to follow detailed editorial and content-development guidelines
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to meet defined deadlines and batch-delivery schedules

Preferred

  • Experience working with Higher Education textbooks or learning materials
  • Experience developing or reviewing test banks
  • Experience creating or reviewing instructor manuals, solution guides, or answer guides
  • Experience developing or reviewing educational PowerPoint presentations
  • Previous experience as a professor, lecturer, teaching assistant, graduate student, legal academic, or legal professional
  • Previous experience working with educational publishers or content-development organizations
  • Familiarity with digital and remote content-development workflows

Candidate Screening Process :

As part of the selection process, shortlisted candidates may be required to complete a sample assignment.

The client may request one chapter of each relevant supplement for review before proceeding with the engagement. Candidates should therefore be comfortable completing a sample assignment and demonstrating:

  • Business Law subject-matter accuracy
  • Strong academic writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work accurately from source materials
  • Attention to detail and consistency
  • Ability to create, revise, and validate supplementary content
