About the Role
We are looking for a strategic, AI-savvy, and execution-driven Manager – BI & Analytics who will build and lead QI Spine's data and intelligence function from the ground up to join our leadership team. This pivotal role will be responsible for building and leading the entire data and analytics function, ensuring we leverage data to drive key business decisions across all departments (clinical, operations, sales, marketing, tech, and support functions). You will be the primary custodian of our data assets, implementing a robust data strategy and translating complex data into actionable insights that fuel our aggressive growth. You will report to the senior leadership and be based in Kurla, Mumbai, with occasional travel to our clinics.
Responsibilities
Data Strategy & Enhancement:
- Develop Strategy: Develop, refine, and execute the BI & Analytics strategy to align with QI Spine's rapid growth plans.
- Analyze Needs: Conduct comprehensive data needs analysis across all departments to identify critical information gaps and opportunities.
- Implement Roadmap: Design and implement an integrated data roadmap that incorporates data collection, storage, and transformation.
- Leverage Innovation: Introduce and leverage innovative data technologies and platforms to enhance our analytical capabilities.
Data Platform & Reporting Excellence:
- Lead Platform Development: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of our data platform, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting infrastructure.
- Build Reports: Build and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports (e.g., in Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to monitor business health and KPIs.
- Ensure Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for all stakeholders.
- Automate Data Metrics: Work closely with the product team to automate important data metrics onto the App.
Data-Driven Insights & Action:
- Conduct Deep-Dives: Oversee and, where necessary, directly conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Provide Actionable Insights: Provide actionable insights on patient behavior, marketing effectiveness, operational efficiency, and clinical outcomes.
- Develop Predictive Models: Lead the development of predictive models and advanced analytics to forecast business performance and optimize strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Impact Measurement:
- Collaborate with Leaders: Collaborate closely with department heads (Clinical Directors, Head of Operations, Head of Sales, etc.) to ensure data initiatives directly address performance metrics and business objectives.
- Partner with People Function: Partner with the People function on talent management, succession planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Establish Metrics: Establish and monitor key BI & analytics metrics (e.g., data quality, report usage, impact on business KPIs).
- Present Reports: Prepare and present compelling reports on data-driven insights and their value to senior leadership.

Experience:
- 5 - 7 years of progressive, hands-on experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record of building and leading data teams within high-growth, dynamic organizations.
- Extensive experience with data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into actionable data solutions.
- Experience in the healthcare, D2C, or B2C service industries is highly preferred.
Skills & Expertise:
- Exceptional proficiency in SQL.
- Strong statistical analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in data visualization and storytelling.
- Proficiency in a programming language like Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
