Context
At AvyahCorp, data flows across distributors, sales teams, marketplaces, production, finance, and multiple internal systems. This role is an opportunity to bring all of this together, layer it intelligently, and build a unified, decision-ready data engine for the business.
You will play a key role in shaping how data is structured, connected, and used to drive growth.
You must be from a finance background, have passed CA Inter or similar.
1. Data Architecture, Integration & MIS Layer:
- Integrate and consolidate data from multiple sources:
- Distributor reports (primary & secondary sales)
- Retail/shop-level data
- General trade and modern trade inputs
- E-commerce platforms
- Internal sales team reports
- Production and inventory systems
- Finance and accounting data
- Build a centralised MIS engine combining all inputs into structured datasets
- Establish a single source of truth across the organisation
- Design data hierarchies: SKU Variant Channel Geography Distributor Retail outlet
- Clean, standardise, and validate inconsistent datasets
2. Sales Intelligence (Primary, Secondary & Retail-Level)Track and analyse:
- Primary vs Secondary sales movement
- Shop-level offtake and throughput
- SKU-wise velocity across geographies and channels
- Distributor-wise performance and coverage efficiency
- Build systems to track:
- Numeric and weighted distribution
- Repeat purchase patterns
- Outlet productivity (sales per outlet)
- Identify:
- Dead SKUs, slow-moving markets, high-performing clusters
- Gaps between billing vs actual consumption
3. Inventory, Supply Chain & Physical Data IntelligenceTrack end-to-end inventory: factory warehouse distributor retail
- Monitor:
- Inventory ageing and shelf life risks
- Stock-in-trade vs stock-in-transit
- Fill rates and stock-out frequency
- Build demand vs supply models
- Identify working capital inefficiencies and excess inventory blocks
- Design and implement physical data collection mechanisms:
- On-ground stock audits at the distributor and retail levels
- Sales team inputs for real-time visibility
- Validation loops to ensure the accuracy of reported data
4. E-commerce Data Synergisation: Integrate and analyse data across:
- Marketplaces (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.)
- D2C platforms (own website/backend)
- Q-commerce platforms
- Omnichannel data sources
- Track:
- Conversion rates, traffic vs sales
- Ad spends vs revenue (ROAS)
- SKU-level performance and pricing impact
- Ratings, reviews, and their impact on sales velocity
- Align e-commerce insights with offline sales trends
- Build a unified view of total business performance across channels
5. Financial Intelligence & Ratio Tracking:
Build granular cost sheets at SKU level, including:
- Raw material, packaging, logistics, trade margins, schemes
- Track and analyse key metrics:
- Gross Contribution / Contribution Margin
- EBITDA margins
- ROCE (Return on Capital Employed)
- Working Capital Cycle (Inventory Days + Receivable Days Payable Days)
- Inventory Turns and Stock Velocity
- Distributor ROI and channel profitability
- Identify margin leakages across trade schemes, discounting, and logistics
6. Dashboards, Visualisation & Decision Systems:
- Build dynamic dashboards (Excel / Power BI / Tableau) for:
- Sales performance (SKU / geography/channel)
- Inventory health
- Financial performance
- E-commerce analytics
- Automate reporting with minimal manual dependency
- Translate data into clear insights, actionable recommendations, and early warning signals
7. Performance Tracking & Business Control
Design and run weekly and monthly business review MIS
- Track target vs achievement across teams
- Build accountability frameworks using data
- Support the founder in strategic decision-making
What You Must Bring:
- 45 years in Financial Management, Business Intelligence, and MIS
- Strong financial understanding
- Education: CA Inter (preferred), MCom
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced MS Excel, Exposure to BI tools
- Experience handling large, unstructured datasets
- Ability to connect data to business action
