Business Intelligence Lead

We are seeking a strategic and technical BI Lead with over 7 years of experience to spearhead our data visualization and transformation initiatives. You will bridge the gap between complex data engineering and actionable business insights, serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and clients. The ideal candidate is not just a Power BI expert, but a data architect who understands how to build scalable, governed, and performant data pipelines using DBT and SQL.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Client Management

• Act as the primary consultant for clients, translating vague business requirements into concrete technical specifications.
• Manage stakeholder expectations, providing regular updates on project health, timelines, and data accuracy.
• Lead a team of BI developers, providing mentorship, code reviews, and architectural guidance.

2. Data Transformation & Modeling

• Architect and maintain robust data models using dbt (data build tool) to ensure a single source of truth.
• Design efficient Star Schemas and Snowflake Schemas that optimize for both performance and user-friendliness.
• Write complex, highly optimized SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from warehouse environments (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift).

3. Power BI Excellence

• Oversee the end-to-end Power BI ecosystem, including Workspace management, Row-Level Security (RLS), and Gateway configurations.
• Develop advanced DAX measures and high-impact visualizations that drive executive decision-making.
• Ensure report performance optimization and mobile-responsiveness.

Technical Qualifications:

● 7+ years of experience in BI development within the Microsoft SQL Server ecosystem.

● Expert-level proficiency with dbt for modular data modeling and documentation.

● Mastery of Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Service management).

● Advanced SQL (window functions, CTEs, performance tuning) and Dimensional Modeling.

● SSIS/SSRS: Proven track record of deploying enterprise-level packages and reports.

Required Education & Experience:

● Education: Bachelor's degree in a field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
