SRS Business Solutions India is seeking a highly motivated and result-oriented Business Intelligence Engineer (BI) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with expert data modeling skills, capable of developing robust BI solutions for our Commercial Organizations (Finance, CRM, Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing). This role demands strong analytical abilities, a keen eye for data quality, and excellent communication skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Modeling & Solution Development: Possess expert data modeling skills, including conceptual, logical, and physical model design. Participate actively in the development of Business Intelligence solutions to meet the needs of various Commercial Organizations (Finance, CRM, Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing).
- Requirements Evaluation & Data Quality: Evaluate complex business requirements, conduct Proofs of Concept (POCs), and proactively identify and flag data anomalies within source systems. Perform end-to-end data validation for solutions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data.
- SQL Development & Performance Tuning: Develop and performance-tune complex SQL (PL/SQL and/or T-SQL) queries and stored procedures.
- Automation & Scripting: Able to manage batch processes using any scripting language like Perl, Unix, or Python.
- Strategic Design & Communication: Create strategic designs and mappings of business requirements to system/technical requirements. Effectively communicate, translate, and simplify complex business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders.
- Project Management & Collaboration: Be well-versed with project tracking tools like Jira and Github. Work on ad-hoc requests and manage simultaneous projects or tasks effectively.
Requirements
- Database Development: 7-10 years of experience with Database Development using Packages/Stored Procedures/Triggers in SQL and PLSQL.
- Dimensional Modeling: 7-10 years of experience in Dimensional Modeling, Star and Snowflake Schemas design, and maintaining dimensions using Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
- SQL Performance Tuning: 7+ years of experience in SQL performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Work Management: Ability to work on ad-hoc requests and should be able to work on simultaneous projects or tasks.
- Communication & Teamwork: Effective and positive communication and Team working skills.
- Work Ethic: Result-oriented, self-starter, and self-motivated, capable of managing multiple time-sensitive assignments.
- Source Systems (Plus): Experience with source systems like Salesforce (SOQL), NetSuite, or any other CRM is a plus.
