JOB Purpose:

The Business Intelligence Developer enables the business to make better, data-driven decisions by designing, developing, and managing BI solutions that turn data into actionable insights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data engineering and Platform Management:

• Design and maintain data pipelines, integrations, and transformations across ERP, TMS, CRM and financial systems.
• Manage and optimize data warehouse and Lakehouse environments.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure a secure, reliable, and compliant data platform.

Data Management, Governance & Analytics

• Implement strong data governance and maintain documentation for data architecture, models, and pipelines.
• Deliver data models and insights that enable data-driven decision-making across the business.
• Act as Scrum Master for the BI team, coordinating sprints and stakeholder alignment.

Technology & Tools

• Manage, enhance, and evolve the data platform to support advanced analytics, while keeping a stable platform.
• Stay current with data technologies to improve pipeline performance, architecture, and analytical practices.
• Promote innovation and a data-driven culture across the organization.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• Accuracy, timeliness, and adoption rate of data models.
• Business impact (cost savings, yield optimization) directly linked to BI insights.
• Data pipeline performance
• Data quality and governance compliance.
• Stakeholder satisfaction with BI outputs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Master's degree in business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or analytics, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership or team lead role.
• Proficient in SQL and Python for data modelling, transformation, automation, and analytics.
• Strong experience with Parquet file handling and data processing within modern data architectures.
• Strong understanding of business intelligence and data visualization principles and practices.
• Proven experience in backend BI development, data modelling, and data integration across ERP, TMS, and financial systems.
• Hands-on expertise in modern data architectures, including data lakes and Lakehouse implementations.
• Experience within logistics, shipping, or global supply chain industries is preferred.
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills to operate effectively as a Scrum Master and collaborate with diverse business stakeholders.
