Job Description

The Business Head Opticals will be responsible for defining, driving and executing the overall sales and operations strategy across all optical outlets. The role requires strong leadership to scale the business, ensure operational excellence and collaborate with group companies to build a unified ecosystem that supports sustainable and profitable growth.

Education & Experience

  • Qualification: MBA / MHA / Postgraduate degree preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
  • Industry Preference: Optical retail / Optical healthcare / Retail business

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Strategic Planning

  • Develop and execute sales and operations strategies aligned with the organization's Annual Operating Plan and business forecasts.
  • Ensure alignment of all operational initiatives with the organization's mission, vision and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership to drive both short-term performance and long-term business growth.

2. Financial & Budget Management

  • Monitor financial performance of optical centres and SIS, identify variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities and work with central teams to plan and execute efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources with appropriate financial controls and governance mechanisms.

3. Operations & Sales Planning

  • Ensure smooth centre-level operations with optimal product availability and uninterrupted supply in coordination with the supply chain team.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with regional sales and operations teams to drive alignment and achievement of annual targets.
  • Partner in designing and executing annual marketing strategies with clearly defined ROI.
  • Drive customer acquisition through multiple channels while strengthening customer retention.
  • Track market trends, competitive landscape and consumer behavior to refine business strategies.

4. Quality, Service & Customer Experience

  • Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Address service delivery and operational efficiency gaps in a timely manner.
  • Monitor NPS scores and drive RCA and CAPA for customer complaints and grievances.

5. Culture, Talent & Organization Development

  • Support initiatives to strengthen organizational culture and core values.
  • Partner in talent development, succession planning and retention of critical talent.
  • Take on additional responsibilities aligned with business priorities as defined by the organization.
