About the Role

As a Business Finance Analyst, you will report into the Business Finance unit and its leadership, owning key reporting sources and helping the team execute data-driven decisions and operations. You will work across finance and business operations to enable revenue operations execution, finance and statutory reporting, and sit at the intersection of business operations, business reviews, and data management.

This role reports to the Business Finance Manager and is based in our Bangalore office.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain the data pipelines connecting CRM, marketing tools, and operational systems (e.g., billing, support ticketing) into the reporting/BI layer (e.g., HubSpot and Zendesk-type systems into AWS QuickSight), keeping every source in sync.

• Assist and execute critical finance and revenue operations — including customer invoicing, billing queries, taxation filings, and validating data shared from operational teams.

• Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports on core business and usage metrics (e.g., call minutes, messages, billing volumes), and own P&L inputs across business lines — including emerging and experimental products — for stakeholders ranging from customer-facing teams to leadership.

• Automate manual, repetitive data entry using scripting or workflow-automation tools — built to be simple to run, easy to maintain, and easy to audit.

• Run recurring and ad hoc data pulls, reconciling discrepancies across systems before they reach a report (e.g., collating financial and non-financial data to calculate a business line's profitability, or to support data-driven strategy on scalability and growth, for leadership review).

• Work across teams — engineering, account management, product operations, tax and DevOps — to fix process inefficiencies at the source rather than repeatedly working around them.

• Document every workflow, report, and pipeline you build: what it does, the logic behind it, and its inputs/outputs.

Skills Required

Technical (provable via portfolio/test)

• SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis

• Using LLM-based tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to speed up data processing, automation design, and workflow builds

• Hands-on experience with a CRM platform (e.g., HubSpot) and how its data structures flow into downstream systems

• Working knowledge of AWS-based reporting/BI tools (e.g., AWS QuickSight) or equivalent dashboarding platforms (e.g., Tableau)

• Experience building automated workflows with tools such as Zapier or n8n

• Experience working with large or unstructured data sets (e.g., call transcripts, usage logs) for analysis

Judgment (provable via case study/interview)

• Ability to spot the second- and third-order effects of an action before taking it — for example, approving a refund without first checking whether the customer already reversed the same charge through a chargeback, which would mean paying them twice for the same issue

• Ability to communicate and coordinate with stakeholders across teams to get solutions executed, rather than just flagging issues

• A strong focus on data accuracy, congruency, understanding permutations and combinations, and understanding problems from first principles

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar analyst role at a tech/SaaS company or a data analytics firm

• Comfortable working directly in spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) as well as SQL/Python

• Prior experience in a usage-based or subscription billing business (e.g., SaaS, telecom, cloud infrastructure) is a plus, not required
