ROLE : Business Director F&B, India Sub Continent

REPORTS TO : Vice President F&B S Asia & IS India

BASE LOCATION : Mumbai

Purpose

The incumbent will lead the F&B business in India and will be accountable to drive sustained profitable growth for the business. Apart from meeting top line and bottom line objectives, the incumbent is expected to drive improvements in sales and customer management processes and deliver an outstanding customer experience. To achieve the above performance objectives, the incumbent is expected to work in close collaboration with the regional/ global F&B regional team and with different enabling functions in the India organisation like finance, supply chain, customer service, procurement, marketing, HR and R&D.

Principle Accountabilities

  • SALES: To achieve revenue & EBITDA growth plans for the F&B business in India
  • PROFITABILITY: To drive profitability improvement initiatives and deliver profitability (GP% and Commercial DOP%) targets
  • CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: To ensure an outstanding customer experience, measured through customer retention metrics, NPS (Net Promoter Score) and CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) Surveys
  • PROCESSES: To drive sales and customer management processes and ensure delivery of business objectives (revenue and EBITDA growth, growth at strategic accounts, innovation sales, working capital)
  • LEADERSHIP :
    • Should have prior experience as a team leader
    • Must be passionate about creating an engaged and motivated team
    • Has to lead by example and from the front.
    • Must demonstrate an aptitude for talent development
    • Must have a track record of delivering consistent profitable growth

  • STRATEGIC INITIATIVES & KEY METRICS:
    • To deliver revenue and EBITDA targets as per the annual operating plan for India F&B business
    • To deliver the profitability targets for the business by focusing on price increases and initiatives to reduce cost to serve
    • To drive strategic initiatives for future growth focusing on:
      • Acquisition of new customers
      • Entry into new segments/ markets
      • Introduction of new products
    • To develop and sustain senior management relationships at strategic accounts
    • To build an engaged and motivated team
    • To focus on developing key capabilities (sales, new business development, key account management, technical)
    • COMPETITION MANAGEMENT: To identify, track and handle competitive moves
    • ENSURE RESOURCES AND SUPPORT: Collaborate with all the enabling functions to ensure required support.
    • SUPPORT CLUSTER OBJECTIVES: To provide support to the VP F&B S Asia & IS India to meet overall business objectives for the designated cluster as well as EM region
    • INTEGRITY: To drive an ethical work culture across the team and company.
    • EHS: To ensure compliance with Solenis EHS standards
    Qualification Guidelines

    EDUCATION :Should have a technical background : this position needs to have a good understanding of technical issues to be able to understand problems and opportunities.

    Experience

    15-20 years of commercial (sales, marketing, corporate accounts, BDM) experience in Industrial/ B2B environment

    at least 5-7 years in a team leader position

    at least 3-5 years experience in managing P&L delivery

    experienced in value selling

    prior experience in cleaning & hygiene, water treatment or specialty chemicals industry is desirable but not essential

    TRAVEL : 10-12 days a month
