Job Summary

Conduct talent acquisition and people management for portfolio managers and investment support teams across Asia. Drive recruitment strategies, campus outreach, and employee lifecycle management to support PinPOINT's growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and recruit portfolio managers by evaluating track records, paper trades, and alignment with the firm's risk framework
  • Build and manage a graduate recruitment pipeline through top universities, including summer internships and pre-placement projects to develop future research analysts and portfolio managers
  • Lead and collaborate on hiring for investment support teams including traders, fund operations, investor relations, risk managers, and software engineers across Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, India, and Taiwan
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including compensation negotiation, onboarding, and offboarding to ensure smooth transitions and employee engagement
  • Conduct market research on talent mapping, key-person moves, competitor performance, and strategy to inform recruitment and retention strategies
  • Facilitate daily fund operations by liaising with colleagues and counterparties across functions to improve collaboration and efficiency
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams on people-related matters including employee transitions to ensure regulatory adherence

Required competencies and certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or above
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in equity sales, prime brokerage sales, financial or hedge fund recruiting, talent acquisition or HR within financial institutions, preferably asset management
  • Experience in fund of funds investment, particularly in fund manager selection or investment strategy analysis
  • Strong connections to buy-side asset management through sell-side experience

  • Demonstrated passion and interest in the hedge fund industry
