Qualifications & Skills
- MBA in Sales & Marketing
- 57 years of experience in business development, preferably in services marketing, fundraising, or sponsorships
- Excellent communication, proposal writing, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as required
Preferred Experience
- Proven experience in B2B sales
- Exposure to digital and social media marketing
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and acquire potential sponsors and delegates for CII events
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through networking, cold calling, referrals, and digital outreach
- Use digital and social media channels to generate and nurture leads
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Act as the primary point of contact and liaison between clients and internal teams
3. Proposal Development & Deal Closure
- Prepare customized proposals, presentations, and pitch documents
- Lead commercial negotiations and close deals aligned with organizational objectives
4. Market Research & Strategic Inputs
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments
- Provide insights to enhance IL Services and identify new business opportunities
5. Internal Collaboration & Partnership Development
- Work closely with Events, Marketing, and Communications teams to align business development activities
- Support end-to-end event planning and execution
- Develop and execute collaborative business models, partnerships, and joint ventures
