We are looking for a highly motivated senior academic counselor with proven experience in EdTech sales, student admissions, lead conversion, and revenue generation. The ideal candidate will possess strong counselling, communication, and relationship-building skills to help students make informed educational decisions while driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Own the complete sales lifecycle, from lead qualification to admission closure and post-enrollment engagement.
- Manage inbound and outbound leads through calls, follow-ups, and student counselling sessions.
- Convert prospective students through effective academic counselling, course guidance, and relationship management.
- Achieve and exceed weekly and monthly admission and revenue targets.
- Understand student requirements and recommend suitable courses, programs, and learning solutions.
- Build strong relationships with students and parents to enhance trust, satisfaction, and retention.
- Conduct detailed need assessments and provide personalized educational guidance.
- Execute structured follow-up strategies to improve lead conversion rates and minimize lead leakage.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, admissions, and sales activities using CRM tools (Zoho CRM preferred).
- Analyse sales performance, conversion metrics, and pipeline data to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to improve lead quality and optimize admissions processes.
- Handle objections confidently and negotiate effectively to maximize enrollments.
- Generate referrals and repeat business through exceptional student engagement and post-sale support.
- Continuously improve counselling approaches, sales pitches, and communication strategies based on market insights.
- Deliver an exceptional student experience throughout the admission journey while maintaining professional standards.
Qualification
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in Academic Counselling, Student Admissions, Inside Sales, or EdTech Sales.
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding admission and revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, counselling, and negotiation skills in Tamil.
- Strong objection-handling and enrollment-closing abilities.
- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (Zoho CRM preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple student inquiries and prioritize effectively.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and performance-oriented mindset.
- Strong follow-up discipline and time management skills.
