Business Development Officer (BDO) - Liability Sales

Job Summary

We are hiring a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Officer (BDO) for our retail banking liability sales division. In this role, you will drive New-To-Bank (NTB) liability relationships (Current Accounts, Savings Accounts, and Term Deposits) while maintaining service quality and building strong local networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify potential catchment areas and build a strong database of retail customer leads through door-to-door visits, stalls, pamphlet distribution, and references.
• Schedule meetings with prospective clients to understand their financial needs and present suitable banking products and services.
• Communicate transparently regarding product features, minimum balance criteria, locker charges, and required documentation.
• Ensure strict verification of customer documents with originals, maintaining accuracy and data confidentiality.
• Complete end-to-end account opening processes smoothly to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Cross-sell value-added products like loans, investments, GI/LI/HI insurance premiums, and SIPs/RDs.
• Maintain daily sales reports and coordinate with internal operations for timely processing.

Key Performance Indicators (KRAs)

• Achievement of CASA NTB unit targets and CASA Value (AMB).
• Generation of GI/LI/HI insurance premium and Retail TD numbers.
• Maintenance of NIL deviations in Audit, KYC, AML, and compliance norms.
• Minimum of 8 new customer meetings per day.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Education: Graduate.
• Strong understanding of local and surrounding markets.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
