Role Description This is a contract, hybrid role based in Surat, with a combination of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. The Business Development Officer will identify and qualify new business opportunities, generate leads, and build a strong sales pipeline across target markets. Responsibilities include conducting market research, reaching out to prospective clients, preparing and delivering presentations, and coordinating product demos with the technical team. The role also involves drafting proposals, negotiating terms under guidance, and supporting the closure of deals aligned with company targets. The Business Development Officer will maintain accurate records in CRM tools, collaborate with marketing on campaigns, and provide regular reports and insights on market trends, client feedback, and competitor activities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in lead generation, prospecting, and pipeline management for IT services or software solutions.
- Ability to conduct structured market research, identify target segments, and analyze customer needs and buying behaviors.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical services in clear business terms.
- Experience preparing proposals, basic pricing structures, and sales documentation in collaboration with internal teams.
- Comfort using CRM and productivity tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) to track activities and report progress.
- Proactive, goal-oriented mindset with strong organization, time management, and follow-up skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in business development, sales, or account management in the IT or technology services sector is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid setup from Surat and meet clients or attend events as required.
