About the Role
Karuna EdTech Pvt. Ltd. (KEPL) is seeking energetic, ambitious and result-oriented professionals to join our Business Development, Sales and Marketing team. The role combines B2B, B2C sales, institutional outreach, lead generation, branding, digital marketing support, market research and business growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Inside Sales & Lead Generation (30%)
• Make outbound calls to prospective clients and institutions.
• Generate and qualify leads.
• Schedule meetings and presentations.
• Maintain CRM and customer records.
Institutional Sales & Partnerships (30%)
• Build relationships with schools, colleges, coaching institutes and organizations.
• Present and promote Karuna EdTech products and services.
• Follow up with prospects and convert opportunities into business.
• Support partnership and business development initiatives.
Marketing & Brand Promotion (25%)
• Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns.
• Manage social media engagement and promotional activities.
• Coordinate digital marketing initiatives, email campaigns and lead nurturing.
• Create and distribute marketing materials and presentations.
• Support brand-building activities, events, webinars and outreach programs.
Research & Market Intelligence (15%)
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
• Identify new business opportunities and target markets.
• Maintain databases and prepare sales and marketing reports.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- BBA, MBA, PGDM, or equivalent professional qualification (Marketing, Sales, Business Management) will be given preference.
- Graduates from any discipline with relevant work experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Telemarketing, Institutional Sales, or Customer Acquisition are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Exceptional candidates with proven performance and industry experience may be considered irrespective of academic specialization.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Telemarketing, Institutional Outreach, Customer Relationship Management, or related functions.
- Candidates with higher experience and a demonstrated track record of achieving business targets will be preferred.
Language & Communication Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Odia and English.
- Ability to read, write and speak Odia fluently for effective engagement with institutions, stakeholders and customers across Odisha.
- Strong presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to communicate confidently with senior management, institutional leaders, government officials and business stakeholders.
Desired Competencies
- Strong understanding of Business Development, Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies and Institutional Sales.
- Experience in building and managing partnerships with schools, colleges, corporates and government organizations.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, generate leads and convert prospects into long-term business relationships.
- Strong networking, stakeholder management and institutional tie-up capabilities.
- Knowledge of market research, competitor analysis and territory development.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, social media outreach and lead generation tools will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, Email Communication, CRM tools and Internet Research.
Mobility & Travel Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Odisha for business development, institutional meetings, partnership discussions, events and market expansion activities.
- Must be comfortable working in both field and office environments.
- Candidate should possess strong local market understanding and relationship-building capabilities within Odisha.
