Job Description
We are seeking a Business Development & Market Strategy Executive to support the company's business development and market expansion activities in the international feed ingredients and agricultural commodities trading sector.
The role will focus on researching international markets, identifying potential customers and business opportunities, analysing commodity market developments and supporting the development of new markets and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research on international markets for feed ingredients, agricultural commodities and related raw materials.
- Analyse market demand, consumption trends, competitive landscape and pricing developments for feed and agricultural commodities.
- Research potential overseas customers, distributors and business partners in relevant markets.
- Identify new business opportunities for the company's feed ingredient and agricultural commodity trading activities.
- Monitor international commodity markets, agricultural supply and demand, trade policies, tariffs and other economic developments that may affect the company's business.
- Analyse market information and economic data to support commercial and business development decisions.
- Assist in evaluating new products, geographical markets and potential customers based on market demand and commercial opportunities.
- Prepare market research reports, customer profiles, competitor analyses and business development presentations for management review.
- Assist in developing market-entry strategies for new overseas markets and support the expansion of the company's international customer base.
- Communicate with prospective overseas customers and business partners to understand market requirements and identify potential business opportunities.
- Work closely with the trading team to translate market intelligence into potential trading opportunities.
- Support the evaluation of market conditions, supply-demand dynamics and commercial factors affecting feed ingredients and agricultural commodities.
- Undertake other business development and market research projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, International Business, Finance, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret economic, market and commercial data.
- Good understanding of international markets, trade and economic principles.
- Interest in agricultural commodities, feed ingredients and international commodity trading.
- Strong research, analytical and report-writing skills.
- Good commercial awareness and ability to identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and business partners from different markets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments in an international trading environment.
- Candidates with prior internship or exposure to international business, commodity markets, agricultural products or market research will be an advantage.
