We're looking for a sharp, self-driven Business Development Manager to help grow Monsoonfish's international client base across the US, Canada, UK, and Europe.
This is a relationship-led, consultative sales role focused on building long-term partnerships with product companies and enterprises. The primary offering you'll be driving is dedicated UX/UI design teams working as an extension of client product teams.
What You'll Do
Outbound Sales & Prospecting
- Build and execute a structured outbound strategy targeting product companies, SaaS businesses, and digital enterprises
- Use AI-powered prospecting tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and modern outreach workflows to identify and engage decision-makers (CPOs, VPs of Product, CTOs, Heads of Design)
- Maintain a strong and healthy pipeline with consistent top-of-funnel activity
- Drive high-quality outreach and lead generation efforts across international markets
Inbound Lead Management
- Qualify and follow up on inbound leads from the website and referrals
- Move opportunities smoothly from discovery calls to proposal and closure stages
Consultative Selling
- Conduct structured discovery conversations to understand client product goals, team gaps, and design maturity
- Position dedicated design team engagements as long-term strategic partnerships rather than one-off projects
- Collaborate with design and strategy teams to develop tailored proposals and scopes of work
Networking & Community
- Represent Monsoonfish at BNI meetings and relevant professional communities
- Build referral relationships and generate warm introductions over time
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM updates, pipeline tracking, and activity logs
- Share weekly pipeline updates and monthly forecasts with leadership
What We're Looking For
- 1-10 years of B2B sales or business development experience, ideally in a design, UX, technology, or creative services company
- Experience working with or selling to international clients, especially in the US or European markets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable leading conversations with senior stakeholders across time zones
- Familiarity with outbound prospecting tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AI-assisted outreach, and CRM platforms
- Pre-sales experience (UX audits, proposals, scoping) is a strong advantage
- Ability to understand UX and product design concepts well enough to hold credible conversations with product and design leaders
- Self-directed, organised, and accountable with strong ownership mindset
- Availability for calls aligned with US and European time zones when required (evenings IST)
Commercial Focus
The role is focused on long-term retainer engagements and dedicated design team partnerships, not short-duration project wins.
Deal quality, contract duration, and long-term relationship value matter more than volume.
