About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented
Business Development Manager (BDM) with extensive experience in the
U.S. staffing industry. The ideal candidate should possess a strong network of direct clients and implementation partners, along with a proven ability to drive revenue growth, onboard new business, and lead high-performing teams.
This role requires a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset who can independently manage client relationships, generate business opportunities, and contribute significantly to organizational growth in the U.S. staffing domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with direct clients and implementation partners within the U.S. staffing market.
- Leverage existing networks and references to onboard new clients and expand business opportunities.
- Establish and nurture strategic partnerships and long-term client relationships.
- Manage the complete business development lifecycle including lead generation, client meetings, negotiations, proposal submissions, and deal closures.
- Coordinate closely with recruitment and delivery teams to ensure timely fulfillment of client requirements.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance sales and delivery team.
- Drive consistent revenue growth by maintaining a healthy sales pipeline and identifying new business opportunities.
- Ensure high client satisfaction and account retention through proactive relationship management.
- Possess strong understanding of U.S. staffing processes, recruitment lifecycle, compliance, and VMS/MSP environments.
- Achieve individual and team placement targets on a monthly basis.
Performance Expectations Client Acquisition & Account Management
- Bring active direct client accounts or implementation partner relationships.
- Successfully onboard a minimum of 2 new direct clients.
- Establish or bring existing MSA (Master Service Agreement) partnerships with direct clients.
Placement Targets
- Achieve a minimum of 2 individual placements per month through personal client connections and references.
- Drive a minimum of 3 team placements per month through managed recruiters/team members.
Business Growth Contribution
- Generate consistent hiring requirements from direct clients.
- Expand existing accounts and contribute to long-term business growth.
- Candidates focused solely on recruitment without direct client interaction experience may not be suitable for this role.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in U.S. staffing business development.
- Strong network of active direct clients and/or implementation partners.
- Hands-on experience with U.S. staffing models, recruitment lifecycle, VMS/MSP systems, and staffing compliance.
- Proven track record in client acquisition, account management, and successful placements.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing book of business with active client relationships.
- Experience working in IT staffing or niche staffing verticals.
- Comfortable working in U.S. time zones.
