About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic
Business Development professional with experience in
Defence or Semiconductor sectors who can drive both
sales and strategic business development activities. The candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with clients, and supporting revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Defence, Aerospace, and Semiconductor industries.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with defence organizations, OEMs, system integrators, and semiconductor companies.
- Track tenders, RFQs, RFPs, and government procurement opportunities.
- Work closely with technical and engineering teams to understand solutions and present them to clients.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and commercial quotations.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities.
- Represent the company in industry meetings, exhibitions, and defence events.
- Achieve sales targets and revenue growth objectives.
Key Requirements
- 35 years of experience in Business Development / Sales in Defence, Aerospace, Electronics, or Semiconductor industry.
- Strong understanding of Defence procurement process and industry ecosystem.
- Experience in handling B2B sales and government tenders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build long-term strategic client relationships.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical) or related field.
- MBA in Marketing / Business Development is an added advantage.
- Existing network within defence organizations, DRDO labs, defence PSUs, or semiconductor companies will be preferred.
