Job Description

Sunshine is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth of its surfactants portfolio (Oleo Chemicals) within the Home & Personal Care (HPC) industry. The role focuses on expanding market presence, developing strategic customer partnerships, and identifying new business opportunities aligned with BASF's innovation-driven and sustainability-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies for surfactants used in Home & Personal Care applications (detergents, cleaners, personal wash, hair care, etc.)
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, key accounts, and emerging market segments
  • Manage and grow relationships with HPC manufacturers and formulators.
  • Work closely with technical, marketing, and supply chain teams to deliver customized customer solutions
  • Drive sales growth, pricing strategy, and margin optimization in line with business targets
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions
  • Lead customer negotiations, contracts, and long-term partnership agreements
  • Support product launches and promote BASF's sustainable and innovative surfactant solutions
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports for management

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 25 years of experience in surfactants, specialty chemicals, or Home & Personal Care ingredients.
  • Strong understanding of HPC formulations and applications.
  • Proven track record in business development, key account management, or sales
  • Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, matrix organization
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel as required
