Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager/Business Development Manager with a proven track record in US staffing and recruitment. This role requires a dynamic professional who brings an existing book of business and has the ability to transfer current client relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing client accounts, and expanding our footprint in the US market.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
Manage and nurture existing client relationships to ensure high satisfaction and retention
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, understanding their staffing needs and business objectives
Develop account strategies to maximize revenue and deepen client partnerships
Conduct regular business reviews with clients to identify opportunities for growth
Ensure timely delivery of staffing solutions that meet or exceed client expectations
Business Development
Transfer and onboard existing book of accounts to Artifact's platform and processes
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with US-based clients
Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue targets
Generate leads through networking, referrals, industry events, and market research
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients
Negotiate contracts, rates, and terms with clients
Client Relationship Management
Build strong, consultative relationships with hiring managers and HR decision-makers
Understand client industries, challenges, and hiring trends
Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to clients
Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Collaboration & Coordination
Work closely with recruiting teams to understand candidate pipelines and fulfillment capabilities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
Provide feedback to leadership on market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs
Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational growth initiatives
Required Qualifications
Experience & Background
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in account management and/or business development within the US IT staffing and recruiting industry
Existing book of business with transferable client accounts (must be able to bring active clients)
Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets
Strong understanding of US/UK staffing models, including contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent placements
Experience working with US/UK time zones and client expectations
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with fluency in English
Strong negotiation and closing abilities
Consultative selling approach with ability to understand client needs
Self-motivated with strong business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset
Proficient in CRM systems (Salesforce, Bullhorn, or similar platforms)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Experience in specific technology domains (Cloud, Cybersecurity, Data/Analytics, Software Development)
Established network of contacts within US-based organizations
Knowledge of US employment laws and visa processes (H-1B, OPT, Green Card)
Track record of building long-term strategic partnerships
