Position Overview: The Business Development Manager for IT Software Products is a key role responsible for driving growth and expanding the market presence of a company's software products. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, understanding market trends, and developing strategies to increase revenue and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to target new business opportunities and expand market presence.
- Monitor industry trends and provide insights to shape the company's product offerings and sales strategies.
2.Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Understand clients needs and challenges to tailor solutions that meet their requirements.
- New Client Acquisition and Retention.
- Prospecting and generating leads
3.Sales and Revenue Generation:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and demonstrations of the software products to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new business.
4.Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with the marketing, product development, and sales teams to ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on client interactions and market demands.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional client service and support.
5.Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and KPIs.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on business development activities, opportunities, and results.
- Adjust strategies and tactics based on performance data and market feedback.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the IT software industry in HRMS/ DMS/ Asset Management/ CRM/ Travels. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of IT software products and solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and trends to inform strategic decisions.
