Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a
motivated Business Development Manager - Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) & Government Business (North) to join our
Commercial team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving net new sales and revenue growth by delivering information management solutions to prospective and existing government accounts within the Southern region.You will join a dynamic team of experts dedicated to expanding Iron Mountain's footprint through strategic networking, complex site analysis, and the execution of high-impact account plans.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
- Lead Revenue Growth: Drive net new sales and exceed quota attainment by prospecting, negotiating, and closing complex solution proposals for Public Sector and Government accounts.
- Collaborate for Strategic Success: Partner with internal matrixed teams and key customer stakeholders to develop strategic account plans and manage detailed responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Ensure Operational Compliance: Maintain rigorous oversight of contract negotiations, including Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, while ensuring all sales activities comply with organizational standards and legal policies.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years of experience in managing Government accounts and driving new sales.
- Strong knowledge of strategic account management, solution selling within the government sector, and current macro-economic business trends.
- Proven ability in Challenger Selling, Power Messaging, and influencing C-level decision-makers through expert negotiation and analytical skills.
- A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred for this leadership-oriented sales position.
