ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager with hands-on Oracle modernization sales experience to drive enterprise revenue for the iBEAM platform. This is a hunter-oriented, quota-carrying role with full ownership of the sales cycle — from identifying Oracle Forms and database modernization opportunities to closing enterprise contracts.
Note: Candidates must have direct, verifiable experience selling Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, or Oracle Database modernization and migration services. Strong domain knowledge of the Oracle ecosystem is essential for this role.
The ideal candidate understands the Oracle ecosystem deeply — including the challenges of maintaining aging Oracle Forms 6i/10g/11g applications, Oracle licensing cost pressures, and the business case for migrating to modern web and cloud architectures. You will confidently articulate iBEAM's value proposition at the C-suite level and translate technical modernization needs into compelling commercial opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oracle & Legacy Modernization Sales
- Own end-to-end sales for iBEAM, targeting enterprises running Oracle Forms, Reports, and legacy Oracle database applications.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline of Oracle modernization and legacy migration opportunities.
- Identify organizations facing Oracle Forms end-of-life, Oracle license cost escalation, or legacy application performance and scalability challenges.
- Position iBEAM as the accelerated, lower-risk alternative to manual Oracle modernization efforts.
- Manage RFPs, RFIs, commercial negotiations, and contract closures for enterprise deals.
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted relationships with CIOs, CTOs, Oracle DBAs, Enterprise Architects, VP Engineering, and IT Directors.
- Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to understand Oracle version landscapes, modernization timelines, budget cycles, and strategic business drivers.
- Map client Oracle environments to iBEAM capabilities and co-develop business cases for modernization investment.
- Engage procurement, legal, and finance stakeholders during commercial and contract negotiations.
Go-to-Market & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with pre-sales architects to deliver tailored Oracle modernization demos, proof-of-concepts, and solution proposals.
- Collaborate with marketing to drive Oracle-focused demand generation, events, and account-based campaigns.
- Provide Oracle market intelligence and client pain points as feedback to the iBEAM product team.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- 5–12 years of experience in IT Services Sales, Enterprise Software Sales, or Digital Transformation Sales.
- Proven, hands-on experience selling Oracle modernization services — specifically one or more of:
- Oracle Forms & Reports Migration (6i / 10g / 11g / 12c)
- Oracle Database Modernization or Cloud Migration
- Oracle EBS or Legacy Oracle Application Re-platforming
- PL/SQL to Modern Architecture Transformation
- Ability to independently manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Strong working knowledge of the Oracle technology stack, version lifecycle, and licensing economics.
- Demonstrated experience engaging and influencing C-suite and VP-level technology decision-makers.
- Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and revenue targets.
