Job description:
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Calicut for a Business Development Manager in EdTech sector. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build ana maintain relationships with educational institutions and corporate partners, and develop include conducting market research, managing sales pipelines, creating proposals, negotiating contracts, and achieving revenue goals. The role also requires collaboration with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Guide, mentor, and support the Business Development team, fostering a collaborative and motivating environment.
* Set clear goals and KPIs for team members, regularly reviewing performance to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
* Conduct training sessions to enhance the team's product knowledge, sales skills, and customer engagement techniques.
* Monitor the sales pipeline and ensure a consistent flow of qualified leads, optimising conversion rates through effective follow-up.
* Address team issues promptly, providing solutions to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
* Identify and target potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals.
* Build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate product or service solutions.
* Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our offerings.
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with clients to close sales and achieve revenue targets.
* Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to potential customers.
* Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to ensure smooth and successful sales processes.
* Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to effectively position our products or services.
* Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to generate leads and expand the customer base.
* Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and progress towards targets to the sales manager.
* Continuously develop sales skills and product knowledge through training and self-study.
* Prepare regular reports on sales performance, team activities, lead conversion rates, and revenue growth.
* Communicate valuable team feedback to management to ensure seamless team operations.
* Use data and insights to make informed decisions, refine strategies, and enhance business development efforts.
Qualifications:
* 5+years of proven experience in Business Development, client Acquisition, and strategic partnerships.
* Strong skills in Market Research, Sales Forecasting, and Negotiation
* Excellent communication, presentation and relationship Management abilities
* Knowledge or interest in the EdTech or Cybersecurity industry is a plus
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
* Strong analytical and problem - solving skills
* Ability to work independently and meet goals in a fast paced environment
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
