Job Description

Key Responsibilities-Business Development

  • Identify, generate, and qualify new business opportunities for software development services.
  • Find and acquire IT projects through various channels including LinkedIn, Upwork, Clutch, networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
  • Conduct cold calling, client meetings, discovery calls, and follow-ups with prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and partners.
  • Prepare proposals, estimates, presentations, and commercial documents.
  • Manage the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to project closure.

AI & Technology Utilization

  • Utilize AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or similar platforms for requirement gathering, documentation, proposal creation, market research, and productivity enhancement.
  • Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and recommend process improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must Have)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Business Development within the software development/IT services industry.
  • Proven experience in finding and acquiring software development projects.
  • Strong experience in cold calling, lead generation, client communication, and sales conversion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Experience in creating BRDs, SRS, FRDs, user stories, project scope documents, and proposals.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for business and documentation purposes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CRM tools, project management tools, and proposal management platforms.
  • Exposure to web, mobile app, cloud, SaaS, ERP, CRM, and custom software development projects.
  • Experience working with international clients (US, UK, Europe, Australia, Middle East) will be an added advantage.

Compensation

  • Annual CTC: ₹7 LPA – ₹8 LPA (Depending on experience and skill set)
  • Performance-based incentives may be offered for successful project acquisition.
