Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly driven, deal-oriented Business Development Manager to lead on-ground market expansion and trading activities across key scrap categories.
This is a frontline revenue role requiring strong market connections, negotiation skills, and the ability to source, structure, and close high-volume scrap transactions.
Key Responsibilities1. Supplier & Network Development- Identify, onboard, and manage scrap suppliers:
- Industrial manufacturers
- Scrap aggregators & yard owners
- Recycling units
- Build a strong sourcing pipeline across metals, plastics, paper, and tyre scrap
- Develop regional clusters in high-volume scrap markets
2. Buyer Acquisition & Market Expansion- Build and manage relationships with:
- Metal processors and foundries
- Plastic recyclers and manufacturers
- Paper mills and tyre recyclers
- Expand MetCirque 360's buyer network and market footprint
3. Deal Execution & Revenue Generation- Own end-to-end deal lifecycle:
- Lead generation
- Price discovery
- Negotiation
- Deal closure
- Dispatch and payment follow-up
- Drive monthly trading volumes and revenue targets
- Ensure profitable deal structuring and margin realization
4. Category ExpertiseWork across one or multiple categories:
- Ferrous scrap: HMS, MS scrap, shredded scrap
- Non-ferrous metals: Copper, aluminium, brass, etc.
- Plastics: PPCP, PPHP, ABS, LDPE, HDPE, HIPS, ABS FR
- Paper & tyre scrap
5. Pricing & Market Intelligence- Track daily commodity price movements and local market dynamics
- Identify arbitrage opportunities across regions
- Provide actionable insights on demand-supply gaps and pricing trends
6. Execution & Coordination- Coordinate with internal teams for:
- Logistics and dispatch
- Documentation (GST, e-way bills, invoicing)
- Payment collections
- Ensure smooth execution with minimal disputes (quality, weight, delivery)
Key Requirements- Experience: 5–10 years in scrap trading / recycling / commodity trading
- Strong on-ground network in at least one scrap category
- Proven track record of closing deals and generating revenue
- Deep understanding of material grades, pricing, and market practices
- High ownership mindset with ability to work independently
