About The Opportunity
Plural Hire is partnering with a contemporary, design-led
lab-grown diamond jewellery brand known for its craftsmanship, sustainability, and modern luxury positioning.
The brand is expanding across
clients, partnerships, and experiential retail, and is looking to onboard a Business Development Manager who can own revenue growth, premium relationships, and event-led sales.
Role Overview
This is a high-impact commercial role combining
sales, partnerships, exhibitions, and market expansion. You will work closely with the Founder and internal teams to identify growth opportunities, convert high-value clients, and represent the brand across exhibitions and pop-ups.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Opportunity Research
- Identify exhibitions, pop-ups, trunk shows, and other revenue-led opportunities
- Evaluate opportunities based on ROI, audience quality, brand fit, and commercial viability
- Track competitor activity, pricing benchmarks, and product trends
- Maintain a structured pipeline of upcoming events and partnerships
Sales & Client Engagement
- Convert inbound, referral, and event-led leads into high-value sales
- Build and manage your own pipeline of buyers and collaborators
- Engage with HNI, NRI, and wedding clients through personalised consultations
- Drive repeat business and long-term client relationships
- Maintain disciplined CRM tracking and follow-ups
Partnerships & Collaborations
- Identify and onboard stylists, wedding planners, multi-designer stores, and collaborators
- Build strategic tie-ups that unlock new revenue channels
- Manage influencer and brand collaborations aligned with luxury positioning
Events, Exhibitions & Pop-Ups
- Lead planning and on-ground execution of exhibitions, trunk shows, and pop-ups
- Manage inventory, logistics, client appointments, and closures
- Ensure a consistent, premium brand experience at all events
Internal Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with design, production, operations, and logistics teams
- Share weekly/monthly reports on leads, conversions, and partnerships
- Provide actionable insights to the Founder for decision-making
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Business, Retail, or a related field
- 36 years of experience in business development or sales within luxury, jewellery, fashion, lifestyle, or hospitality
- Proven ability to close high-ticket sales and manage premium clients
- Strong understanding of luxury consumer behaviour and event-led selling
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of diamond fundamentals (4Cs, IGI/GIA) or willingness to learn
- High ownership mindset with comfort in fast-paced environments
