Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role in Pune for a Business Development Manager at Viami Logistics and Consulting LLP. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, acquiring clients, and promoting services such as freight forwarding, customs clearance, logistics solutions, and regulatory consulting. Responsibilities include lead generation, client meetings, preparing proposals, and negotiating deals. The candidate will collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions, achieve sales targets, and build long-term client relationships to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and approach new importers, exporters, manufacturers, and traders for logistics services.
• Generate new business for freight forwarding, customs clearance, and transportation services.
• Contact potential clients through cold calling, emails, LinkedIn, and client meetings.
• Understand client logistics requirements and provide suitable supply chain solutions.
• Prepare and present quotations and service proposals to clients.
• Negotiate pricing and close sales deals to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business.
• Track market trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
• Maintain client records and update sales reports regularly.
• Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth shipment execution and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Bring

Education: Any Graduate

Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. Strong numerical aptitude with a proactive and problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced business environment.
