Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat, responsible for driving growth and expanding the client base for Kayachitra By Mridul. This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with prospective and existing clients, and presenting service offerings tailored to client needs. The Business Development Manager will conduct market research, develop and execute sales strategies, manage a pipeline of leads, and track performance against targets. Day-to-day activities include client meetings, networking with local partners, preparing proposals and quotations, collaborating with creative and operations teams, and representing the brand at events or industry gatherings. The role also requires maintaining accurate records in CRM or tracking tools and providing regular reports and insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in creative services, events, photography, or related industries.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term client relationships.
• Proficiency in basic marketing and outreach activities, including social media engagement, networking, and collaboration with local partners.
• Ability to conduct market research, analyze customer needs, and translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
• Comfort with using digital tools such as CRM software, spreadsheets, and communication platforms to manage leads and track performance.
• High level of professionalism, reliability, and ownership mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Creative thinking and an interest in storytelling, events, or visual experiences that create memorable moments for clients.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Prior experience in a client-facing role in Surat or similar markets is an advantage.
