Business Development Manager in IT and Electronics

Sberbank is looking for a Business Development Manager /Senior Manager to support our fast-growing team in Delhi. This important role contributes to driving expansion within India's IT & ITES sectors. The role will focus on market analysis, supplier search and qualification, supplier coordination for proposal development and negotiations, and business support operations.

Responsibilities

• Source new IT hardware suppliers using all available channels and resources.
• Conduct initial negotiations with suppliers: introductions, presenting our work and terms of cooperation.
• Independently verifying counterparties for reliability – identifying potential fraud alerts; knowledge and understanding of verification tools and sources.
• Evaluate and onboard suppliers, ensuring quality, delivery timelines, and compliance with standards.
• Track supplier performance and maintain supplier data and documentation.
• Organise and support meetings between clients and suppliers.
• Support deals at all stages.
• Maintain CRM, reporting, and working spreadsheets.
  
  

Requirements

• Graduate/Postgraduate degree; preferably in IT or a related field relevant to our needs.
• 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supplier development, preferably in IT hardware. Key experience includes working with suppliers: sourcing, evaluation, negotiations, and deal support.
• Fluent English: at least C1.
• Understanding of hardware and components, ability to read technical specifications and understand the purpose of each component.
• Mandatory knowledge of the Indian market; knowledge of neighboring markets and other key locations for this product range is a plus.
• Knowledge of key manufacturers, distributors, and other significant market participants.
• Understanding of logistics routes, basic knowledge of customs clearance and foreign trade activities in general; practical experience is a plus.
• Confident proficiency in available AI tools and active daily use.
• Key skills that include: strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, MS Office, ERP systems (procurement, warehouse, finance), and CRM.
• Personal qualities shouold include proactivity, self-reliance, stress resilience, analytical thinking.
