Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving admissions growth, developing partnerships, increasing brand visibility, and executing outreach activities for GoldenBee. This role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills to convert leads and build long-term institutional relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Conversion & Admissions Growth
- Manage and convert leads generated through marketing, walk-ins, referrals, and outreach.
- Work closely with the admissions team to drive monthly/annual enrollment targets.
- Conduct counselling sessions for parents and explain the school programs, curriculum, and value proposition.
2. Outreach & Partnerships
- Build partnerships with preschools, corporates, apartments, communities, and local influencers to generate admissions leads.
- Conduct outreach events, education fairs, workshops, and seminars to promote GoldenBee.
- Develop relationships with local businesses and community groups for referral opportunities.
3. Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct competitor analysis, pricing benchmarking, and market opportunity mapping.
- Identify new areas, clusters, and communities for potential student acquisition.
- Recommend strategies to improve admissions numbers and brand presence.
4. Branding & Communication
- Support marketing team in executing campaigns at ground level.
- Represent GoldenBee in parent meetings, campus tours, school events, and local community programs.
- Ensure all communications align with the brand's values and positioning.
5. Reporting & CRM Management
- Update and track all parent interactions and lead movement using the CRM (Meritto/LeadSquared/Salesforce).
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports on leads, conversions, and outreach performance.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and follow-ups.
6. Cross-Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with Academics, Operations, and Marketing for seamless admission experience.
- Share insights on parent expectations, feedback, and market behavior.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 37 years of experience in Business Development, Admissions, Counselling, or Salespreferably in the education sector.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent relationship-building ability and confident public speaking.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools and admissions pipelines.
- Target-driven with strong follow-up skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
