Job Description

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for New Business Development under the Farmer Financing (FF) product. Responsibilities include mentoring sales officers and liaising with peers in other business groups.

Job Responsibilities

  • Scope the market, customers, and understand trends/needs in focus Agri Value Chains
  • Develop customer acquisition and penetration strategies within the targeted Agri Value Chains
  • Own customer relationships related to FF activities and provide support to Line Teams/Corporates for RIG penetration, mandate activation, and FF assets
  • Provide customer and field-level inputs on new product requirements and assist in customizing corporate needs
  • Develop Farmer Financing Assets by coordinating with Corporate RMs for memo limit setup/repayments and with FF teams for farmer-level documentation and transactions

Business Development

  • Build rapport with internal support teams for timely limit approvals, disbursements, and repayments
  • Gain knowledge of Agri Value Chains by interacting with leading corporates and industry associations

Coordination with Internal & External Stakeholders

  • Cross-Sell: Generate leads for retail assets, liabilities, and digital products
  • Sales Officer Recruitment: Participate in the selection of candidates for Sales Officer roles
  • Sales Officer Training: Train Sales Officers on product features, processes, and policies

Educational Qualifications

  • Graduation: Preferably in Agri Business
  • Post-Graduation: Preferably in Retail or Agri Business
