Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager – LMS (Lightning Management System)

Location: Mumbai

Experience: 10+ years

Employment Type: Full-time

Travel: Frequent travel required (local and outstation)

Remuneration: - Up to 15L PA Fixed + 2L PA Incentive

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager for our Lighting Control Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Lighting Management Systems, with hands-on experience in lighting control products, and the ability to lead marketing, execution, and team management functions. The role involves managing B2B sales, building client relationships, and expanding our business presence in the domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and approach prospective clients (cold calls, outreach, referrals).
  • Present lighting control solutions to new and existing customers.
  • Lead marketing initiatives and increase brand visibility.
  • Prepare tenders, proposals, and cost estimations.
  • Conduct techno-commercial discussions with consultants and clients.
  • Maintain and expand a solid contact database of clients and consultants.
  • Co-ordinate with OEM partners, Architects, LMS Consultants on a regular basis.
  • Follow up for payment collections and customer support.
  • Manage execution of projects ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Build and lead a performance-driven team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers through organized communication and support.
  • Stay updated with market trends and gather competitor and customer intelligence.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and finalize agreements.
  • Prepare and share proposal documentation and related reports.
  • Any additional tasks as assigned by the reporting manager or management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Lighting Management Systems and control products.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Read, Write, Speak).
  • Proficient in B2B sales techniques and lead generation.
  • Experienced in client relationship management and contract negotiation.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team leader.
  • Well-organized with attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Comfortable with traveling for client/consultant meetings.
  • Good analytical and documentation skills.

Target Objectives:

  • Drive growth of the Lighting Control business vertical.
  • Increase market share through effective outreach and engagement.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 10+ years in marketing/sales/business development in LMS Projects.
  • Industry Exposure: Industrial plants, commercial buildings, data centres, and high-end residential projects, Auditorium.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering / MBA in Marketing (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong network of OEM partners, Architects, LMS Consultants and decision-makers in the industry.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for business development.
