Role Description: Responsible for converting Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs), engaging CXOs of consumer brand companies, and onboarding global brands to Opptra's platform. This role reports
directly to the CEO of Hardline Business, Opptra.
This role requires deep market understanding, strong negotiation capabilities, and the ability to work cross-functionally with category, operations, marketing, supply chain, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Category Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute the business growth plan for the Electronics category across Asian markets.
- Identify emerging trends, competitive moves, and new opportunities within consumer electronics (mobiles, accessories, wearables, smart appliances, audio, etc.).
- Build a category roadmap focused on brand acquisition, channel expansion, and revenue growth.
2. Brand Acquisition & Onboarding
- Launch enterprise level brands that will lead above significant revenue growth in three prominent regions (India , GCC, and SEA) across Electronics category
- Convert MQLs into SQLs quarterly to engage pitch and convert them as Optra's franchise brands. .
- Lead end-to-end brand acquisition including scouting, outreach, pitching Opptra's value proposition, commercial negotiation, and onboarding.
- Develop strong relationships with brand principals, distributors, and marketplace partners globally.
3. Market & Business Development
- Evaluate new markets and channels for category expansion across online (e-commerce, marketplaces) and offline (retail, distribution) platforms.
- Build and execute go-to-market plans for newly onboarded brands.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch products, manage pricing, forecasting, and inventory planning.
4. Commercial & Partnership Management
- Lead commercial discussions including P&L, pricing models, revenue share, supply terms, and franchise frameworks.
- Negotiate contracts, partnership agreements, and long-term business commitments.
- Manage ongoing relationships to ensure revenue growth and high partner satisfaction.
5. Performance & Analytics
- Monitor category performance metrics such as sales, margin, channel penetration, and brand productivity.
- Analyse revenue drivers and propose actions to improve profitability and brand performance.
- Prepare regular business reviews, presentations, and strategy updates for internal stakeholders and brand partners.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 47 years of experience in Business Development, Category Management, or Brand Partnerships, ideally within Electronics or Consumer Tech.
- Strong understanding of Asian market dynamics, retail networks, and e-commerce ecosystems.
- Demonstrated success in brand acquisition, negotiations, and managing international stakeholders.
- Analytical, commercially sound, and comfortable owning category P&L.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel internationally as required.
