The role exists to drive
new business development in Corporate General Insurance, acting as a
broker between General Insurance companies and corporate clients. The candidate will be responsible for revenue growth, team leadership, and managing end-to-end corporate sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities / Deliverables
- Drive new business development in corporate general insurance (commercial lines).
- Pitch and sell general insurance products to corporate clients as a broker.
- Achieve revenue targets as per agreed business plans.
- Manage and nurture client relationships with corporate accounts.
- Lead, mentor, and monitor a team of Business Development Executives.
- Handle lead management, RFQs, negotiations, and conversions.
- Ensure effective pipeline management, forecasting, and closures.
- Support key account management, renewals, up-sell, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Coordinate with insurers for pricing, policy placement, and servicing support.
Must-Have / Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Qualification: Graduate (mandatory)
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of B2B corporate sales experience
- Mandatory experience in General Insurance / Insurance Broking industry
- Minimum 2 years in the current organization
- Team Handling: Experience managing 35 team members
- Strong communication skills (English & local language written and verbal)
- Excellent convincing, negotiation, networking, and presentation skills
- Proven track record of revenue generation and sales closures
- Strong expertise in end-to-end sales planning, including:
- Business forecasting
- Active pipeline management
- Client engagement
- Key account management
- Up-selling and cross-selling
- Self-motivated, result-driven, and target-oriented
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
