Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Business Development Manager specializing in College and University tie-ups. The individual will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with academic institutions to establish recruitment partnerships. Key tasks include conducting outreach, developing proposals, negotiating agreements, and maintaining strong relationships with university representatives. The role also involves creating strategies to enhance partnerships, attending industry networking events, and driving the overall growth of the company's recruitment channels. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the internal team to align strategies with organizational goals.

Role Summary

The Manager Business Development (College / University Tie-ups) will be responsible for building and managing partnerships with colleges and universities to promote BFSI skilling programs, certifications and placement-linked training initiatives. The role involves institutional sales, relationship management, student enrollment growth and coordination with internal delivery and placement teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. College & University Partnerships

Identify, approach and onboard colleges and universities for BFSI skilling programs.

Engage with Principals, Deans, Directors, and Training & Placement Officers (TPOs).

Present program offerings and close institutional tie-ups through MOUs / agreements.

2. Program Launch & Enrollment Growth

Launch skilling programs, certifications and job-readiness courses within partner institutions.

Conduct student orientation sessions, seminars and counselling programs.

Drive student enrollments and achieve batch formation targets.

3. Placement & Outcome Management

Coordinate with college placement cells to ensure job-readiness and placement support.

Support recruitment drives, employer interactions and BFSI hiring initiatives.

Ensure alignment with the company's placement assistance commitments.

4. Revenue & Business Targets

Achieve assigned monthly / quarterly business and revenue targets.

Expand institutional footprint across assigned regions.

Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing partner institutions.

5. Relationship Management & Coordination

Maintain strong, long-term relationships with partner institutions.

Act as a single point of contact between colleges and internal teams (operations, trainers, placement).

Address partner concerns and ensure smooth program delivery.

6. Market Intelligence & Reporting

Track market trends, competitor activity and new opportunities in the skilling ecosystem.

Provide regular MIS, forecasts and performance reports.

Share feedback to improve offerings and delivery models.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability in Business Development, Partnership Management, and Relationship Building
  • Proficiency in Communication, Negotiation, and Presentation skills
  • Strategic Thinking, Analytical Skills, and Market Research expertise
  • Familiarity with the education and recruitment sectors, including College/University collaboration processes
  • Capability to work independently and manage projects efficiently in a remote setting
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is a plus
  • Proven track record in achieving targets and developing successful partnerships within the educational sector
