Job Purpose: - (Role Summary)

The role of a Business Development Manager in the lubricant industry involves driving growth and expanding the business in the market. They are responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Education: - Graduation in B.Sc. (Chemistry) or M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry) & MBA in Marketing Experience: - 5 to 8 Years Specific Industry Experience: - Lubricant Industry - Metal Working Fluids

Job Responsibilities:

1. Market Research: Conducting market research to identify potential customers, market trends, and competitors. Analysing data to make informed business decisions and develop effective strategies.

2. Sales and Revenue Generation: Developing and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed lubricant product sales targets and revenue goals.

3. Client Acquisition: Identifying and acquiring new clients and customers in the lubricant industry, including manufacturers, distributors, and end-users.

4. Business Expansion: Identifying and exploring opportunities for business expansion, such as entering new geographical markets or introducing new product lines.

5. Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

6. Partnership Development: Collaborating with distributors, suppliers, and other partners to create mutually beneficial business relationships and distribution channels.

7. Product Development and Promotion: Working closely with the marketing team and R&D department to develop effective marketing strategies and promotional activities for lubricant products.

8. Negotiation and Contracts: Negotiating favourable terms and conditions for contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and partners.

9. Market Penetration: Implementing strategies to increase market share and penetration for lubricant products in target markets.

10. Competitor Analysis: Monitoring competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead in the lubricant industry and identify areas of competitive advantage.

11. Sales Team Support: Providing guidance and support to the sales team, including setting sales targets, providing product training, and assisting in closing deals.

1. Business Strategy and Planning: Developing and executing business development strategies to expand the company's presence in the lubricant market and achieve growth targets.

2. Market Entry and Expansion: Identifying new markets and opportunities for market entry or expansion of lubricant products.

3. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Identifying and acquiring new clients and managing relationships with key accounts and customers.

4. Sales and Revenue Generation: Setting sales targets, developing sales plans, and overseeing the sales process to achieve revenue goals.

5. Partnership and Alliance Building: Identifying potential partners, distributors, and collaborators to expand distribution channels and market reach.

6. Negotiation and Contracting: Negotiating terms and conditions with clients, suppliers, and partners to secure profitable business deals.

7. Product and Pricing Strategy: Contributing to product development and pricing strategies to remain competitive in the lubricant market.

8. Marketing and Promotions: Collaborating with the marketing team to develop effective marketing strategies and promotional activities for lubricant products.

9. Budget Management: Managing the business development budget and allocating resources efficiently to support growth initiatives.

10. Market Intelligence and Analysis: Conducting market research and analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and potential competitors.

11. Trade Shows and Events: Representing the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to showcase products and build brand awareness.

12. Forecasting and Reporting: Analysing sales data and market trends to prepare sales forecasts and reports for management.

13. Customer Feedback and Satisfaction: Gathering customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

14. Business Development Team Management: If applicable, managing and leading a team of business development professionals to achieve collective objectives.

15. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements for lubricant products.
