Job Title: Senior Manager – Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Solar Projects

Job Summary:
The Senior Manager – C&I Solar Projects will lead the strategic business development, client acquisition, and end-to-end project lifecycle management for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar projects, including rooftop and ground-mounted installations. This role demands proven leadership, deep sector knowledge, and strong stakeholder management to drive high-value deals, achieve business growth, and ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs):
1. Strategic Business Development & Market Expansion
- Develop and implement business growth strategies for the C&I solar sector.
- Identify large-scale opportunities in commercial, industrial, institutional, and warehousing sectors.
- Build and maintain high-value relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
- Achieve annual revenue and profitability targets.
2. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor the C&I sales and project coordination teams.
- Allocate targets, monitor performance, and provide regular coaching.
- Foster a high-performance, goal-oriented work culture.
3. Client Engagement & Solutioning
- Engage with CXO-level stakeholders to understand strategic energy needs.
- Drive feasibility studies, site assessments, and ROI-based proposals.
- Present techno-commercial solutions tailored to client requirements.
4. Proposal Management & Tender Participation
- Oversee preparation of RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents in collaboration with engineering and finance teams.
- Review and approve high-value techno-commercial proposals.
- Ensure competitive bidding strategies and compliance with tender requirements.
5. Government & Regulatory Liaison
- Liaise with MNRE, SECI, DISCOMs, and other authorities for clearances, subsidies, and policy updates.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes impacting the C&I solar sector.
6. Contract Negotiation & Closure
- Lead high-value negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and contractual obligations.
- Finalize agreements ensuring legal and commercial safeguards.
7. Project Handover & Oversight
- Ensure smooth transition from sales to execution teams.
- Monitor progress on key projects and intervene to resolve bottlenecks.
8. MIS, Reporting & Market Intelligence
- Provide detailed monthly/quarterly business performance reports to management.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback for continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile:
- Education: MBA /B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy preferred) or equivalent.
- Experience: 8–12 years in solar sales/project development, with at least 4–5 years in the C&I segment and leadership roles.
Skills Required:
- Proven track record of closing large-value C&I solar deals.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Deep understanding of solar technology, regulatory framework, and C&I market needs.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting systems.
