Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and growth-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) – Strategy & Growth to identify, shape, and execute high-impact business opportunities for the organization. This is not a pure sales role; instead, it focuses on market expansion, GTM strategy, solution positioning, partnerships, growth planning, and strategic execution.
The ideal candidate should possess strong product and solution understanding across areas such as Cybersecurity, Network Security, SD-WAN, Firewalls, Network Management Systems (NMS), and Enterprise Security solutions. The role requires working closely with leadership, Customers, Prospects, OEMs/partners, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate market opportunities into scalable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and drive strategic business development and growth opportunities into Products & Services aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop and execute Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for Cybersecurity, Network Security, SD-WAN, Firewalls, Network Management Systems (NMS), and Enterprise Security solutions and related technology offerings.
- Build strong understanding of the company's portfolio and align growth initiatives with market demand, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Conduct market research, customer analysis, and competitive intelligence to identify new business opportunities, solution gaps, and growth areas.
- Work closely with internal Sales, technical, delivery, presales, alliances, and leadership teams to convert strategic plans into executable initiatives.
- Support solution positioning, value proposition development, and market messaging for key offerings in network and security domains.
- Drive strategic partnerships, alliances, and ecosystem development with OEMs, technology partners, and channel stakeholders.
- Identify emerging trends in enterprise networking and cybersecurity markets and recommend business growth strategies accordingly.
- Support account growth initiatives by identifying cross-sell, up-sell, and market expansion opportunities across relevant solutions.
- Enable business planning through CRM, dashboards, automation tools, and reporting mechanisms for effective pipeline and growth tracking.
- Track performance against defined KPIs and present periodic business reviews, growth insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Represent the organization in strategic customer discussions, partner meetings, OEM engagements, and industry forums.
- Willingness to travel 15–30% within India and internationally based on business needs.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 12+ years of experience in Business Development, Growth, Strategy, GTM, or Solution-led business roles.
- Strong understanding of Cybersecurity, Network Security, SD-WAN, Firewalls, NMS, and enterprise security/network infrastructure solutions.
- Ability to understand product capabilities, market applicability, customer use cases, and business positioning of technology solutions.
- Experience in strategy-led business development rather than purely target-driven sales.
- Strong exposure to market expansion, GTM planning, partnerships, and growth execution.
- Experience working cross-functionally with leadership, sales, technical teams, presales, alliances, and operations.
- Structured, analytical, and data-driven approach to opportunity assessment and strategic planning.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools, business planning, reporting dashboards, and automation platforms.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technology offerings to customer business outcomes.
Preferred Background
- Experience in IT services, system integration, managed services, telecom, network security, or cybersecurity domain.
- Exposure of working with OEMs/partners in security and networking ecosystem.
- Prior experience in solution/business growth around enterprise infrastructure and security offerings will be an preferred.
