About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth across the North American market. As a BDM, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships, service sales, and account expansions.

This role requires a deep understanding of the North American IT services/staffing/digital transformation landscape, exceptional communication skills, and a strong track record of achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. New Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new clients in the North American region across various industry verticals (e.g., BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing, Hi-Tech, etc.).
  • Generate leads through cold outreach (email, LinkedIn, calls), events, referrals, and partnerships.
  • Conduct discovery calls and client meetings to understand business needs and position appropriate solutions.
  • Create and deliver tailored presentations, proposals, and RFP responses.

2. Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with CXOs, procurement heads, and key decision-makers.
  • Nurture and grow strategic accounts to increase wallet share through cross-selling and upselling.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and single point of contact for assigned clients.

3. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas and KPIs.
  • Develop territory/account plans and sales forecasts.
  • Track market trends, competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and client behaviour to refine go-to-market strategies.

4. Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with the delivery, recruitment, marketing, legal, and pre-sales teams to ensure successful client onboarding and project execution.
  • Provide inputs to marketing teams for regional campaigns, webinars, case studies, and lead nurturing content.

5. Reporting & CRM Management

  • Maintain detailed records of leads, interactions, opportunities, and pipeline in CRM tools (e.g., Pipedrive).
  • Share weekly/monthly business reports and participate in review meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in B2B business development or sales, preferably in the IT services, SaaS, staffing, or consulting domain.
  • Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets in North America.
  • Strong understanding of the North American market dynamics, cultural nuances, and buying behaviours.
  • Experience with end-to-end sales cycles, including RFPs, negotiations, and closure.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office/Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work across time zones and travel occasionally (if required).

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in IT Infrastructure Services, managed services, or consulting sales.
  • Knowledge of enterprise tech stacks.
  • Existing network of contacts in the North American region.
