Job Description

AP Guru is hiring on behalf of Anchor Plywood for the role of Business Development Manager (BDM).

Company: The Indian Plywood Mfg. Co. Pvt. Ltd.

Experience: 9–12 Years

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales growth, channel development, project sales, and specification business within the assigned territory. This is a field-based role involving regular interaction with Architects, Interior Designers, Contractors, Builders, Dealers, and Distributors to generate business opportunities and achieve revenue targets.

Known for its quality products and strong market presence, the company serves residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and industrial projects across the country.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Drive revenue growth and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Develop and manage dealer/distributor networks and expand market presence.
  • Generate project leads, secure product specifications, and convert opportunities into sales.
  • Build strong relationships with Architects, Interior Designers, Contractors, Builders, and channel partners.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the sales team in achieving business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure timely collections and maintain healthy channel relationships.
  • Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline, and business reports.

Requirements :

  • 9–12 years of sales experience in plywood, laminates, veneers, MDF, adhesives, hardware, paints, or related building materials.
  • Strong existing network with Architects, Interior Designers, Contractors, Builders, Dealers, and Distributors.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.
  • Experience handling channel sales, project sales, and specification business.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience leading and developing sales teams.
  • Graduate required; Post Graduate / MBA preferred.
  • Basic CRM and sales reporting knowledge.

Must Have :

  • Existing industry contacts and market knowledge.
  • Strong field sales and business development experience.
  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and commercially focused mindset.

Locations & No. of Positions:

Please Note: This is an on-field sales role requiring extensive travel within the assigned territory. Candidates may apply for the location most convenient to them.
