Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive (Battery Procurement) to strengthen our raw material supply chain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and nurturing relationships with suppliers of used batteries and other relevant materials, ensuring a consistent pipeline for operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard suppliers of used batteries (Li-ion, lead-acid, etc.) across regions.
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's material requirements.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuous and reliable supply.
- Conduct regular market research to track pricing, supply trends, and competitor activities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to optimize costs and supply quality.
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Visit suppliers and conduct due diligence to assess quality and compliance standards.
- Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports for management review.
- Represent Minimines at industry events, vendor meetings, and networking opportunities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- 24 years of experience in procurement, business development, or raw material sourcing (battery or recycling industry preferred).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to build strong vendor networks and manage relationships effectively.
- Good understanding of battery categories, recycling ecosystem, and sustainability trends (preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel frequently for supplier visits.
