Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Business Development Manager to drive business growth across South India for our HVAC&R product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry, with a proven track record of developing business opportunities through consultants, OEMs, industrial customers, builders, developers, architects, dealers, and distributors.
The role requires a highly motivated professional capable of generating enquiries, increasing brand visibility, expanding distribution networks, and strengthening after-sales service support across the region. Needs to travel across Chennai and other South India cities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve regional sales and growth objectives.
- Conduct planned sales visits to Consultants, OEMs, Industrial End Users, Builders & Developers, Architects, and other key stakeholders.
- Generate new business opportunities and build a strong enquiry pipeline.
- Promote company products and solutions to increase market penetration and brand awareness.
- Identify and develop new customers, projects, and distribution opportunities across South India.
Customer Engagement & Market Development
- Educate customers and channel partners on the latest products, technologies, and industry developments.
- Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and promotional activities.
- Coordinate and follow up regularly with customers and influencers to convert enquiries into business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to support business growth initiatives.
Channel & Service Network Development
- Develop and strengthen dealer and distributor networks across the assigned territory.
- Establish and support service partners through dealers and distributors to ensure effective after-sales service coverage.
- Work closely with channel partners to improve customer satisfaction and service responsiveness.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, OEMs, contractors, industrial clients, builders, developers, and key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with internal sales, technical, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer support.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related discipline.
- 8–12 years of experience in the HVAC&R industry, specifically in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, and market expansion.
- Strong exposure to working with Consultants, OEMs, Contractors, and Industrial End Users.
- Experience in distribution business management will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of after-sales service networks and channel development.
