We are looking for dynamic Business Development Managers with strong exposure to project sales, specification sales, and architect/consultant relationship management.
The ideal candidate should have experience working with premium/luxury products and should be comfortable handling high-value project discussions.
Role Description
The Business Development Manager – Architectural Lighting & Automation will be responsible for driving business growth by developing new client opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and identifying sales prospects in the architectural lighting and home automation industries. The role involves conducting market research, creating sales strategies, negotiating client contracts, and managing end-to-end sales processes. You will also work closely with design and operations teams to align solutions with client needs, meet performance metrics, and oversee account management. This is a full-time, on-site role based in South Delhi.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive project sales and business development activities
- Build relationships with architects, interior designers, lighting consultants, and developers
- Handle specification-led sales opportunities
- Conduct technical and design presentations
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closure
- Coordinate with internal design and execution teams
- Achieve revenue and collection targets
Qualifications
- Strong business development, sales, and client relationship management skills
- Understanding of architectural lighting, home automation solutions, and related market segments
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in market research and customer needs analysis
- Ability to work independently, meet sales targets, and drive business growth
- Prior experience in the architectural lighting or home automation industries preferred
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals and managing client accounts
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
Preferred Candidate Profile
- 6–8 years of experience in project/specification sales
- Strong exposure to architectural lighting, automation, luxury interiors, building materials, or related industries
- Existing relationships with architects, consultants, PMCs, and developers preferred
- Experience handling hospitality, commercial, and luxury residential projects
- Strong presentation and relationship management skills
- Candidates from architectural lighting, automation, luxury interiors, building materials, or related project-sales industries will be preferred
