By transforming underutilized spaces in production areas into agricultural terminals, Apna Godam offers localized storage and commodity loan facilities and enables farmers to sell produce directly through an online platform. This initiative allows farmers and village-level collectors to achieve better prices and manage their produce efficiently without being subjected to low post-harvest prices.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bihar for a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will focus on building and nurturing relationships with stakeholders, including farmers, traders, and buyers. Daily responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, marketing company services, negotiating partnerships, generating leads, and driving revenue growth. The role also requires supporting clients with Apna Godam's warehousing, financing, and trading services, along with addressing customer inquiries to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

  • Strong business development, sales, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in stakeholder management, customer relationship building, and client support
  • Knowledge of agriculture, commodities trading, and market trends in the agritech sector
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on-site in Bihar and collaborate with local farmers and traders
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets within an innovative and competitive environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agribusiness, or a related field
  • Experience in the agricultural or agritech sector is a strong advantage
