Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Leader to drive growth for our IT Professional Services business within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain. This role is focused on acquiring new logos, particularly Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and leading financial institutions across India, APAC, and the Middle East.

The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of hunting, consultative selling, and closing large, complex deals—especially involving AI-powered solutions and digital transformation services. This individual will work closely with global sales, pre-sales, and delivery teams to shape and win strategic opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Acquisition (Primary Focus)

• Identify, target, and acquire new logos within BFSI and GCC segments across designated regions

• Build and execute territory/account penetration strategies to drive pipeline and revenue growth

• Lead end-to-end sales cycles: prospecting, qualification, solutioning, proposal, negotiation, and closure

  • Strategic Sales & Solutioning

• Position IT professional services offerings, including AI/ML, data engineering, cloud transformation, and digital modernization

• Engage CXO-level stakeholders to understand business challenges and align solutions accordingly

• Collaborate with solution architects and delivery teams to craft compelling value propositions

  • AI-led Transformation Selling

• Drive adoption of AI-powered services and solutions (e.g., intelligent automation, predictive analytics, GenAI use cases)

• Articulate ROI, business outcomes, and transformation roadmaps to clients

• Stay current with emerging AI trends and translate them into market opportunities

  • Global Collaboration

• Work closely with global sales and business development teams to align go-to-market strategies

• Leverage global relationships, partnerships, and alliances to accelerate deal closures

• Coordinate with marketing for campaigns, events, and thought leadership initiatives

  • Pipeline & Forecast Management

• Maintain a robust and qualified pipeline with accurate forecasting

• Track and report key metrics including win rates, deal velocity, and revenue targets

• Ensure CRM hygiene and disciplined sales processes

Required Qualifications

• 12–18+ years of experience in IT services sales, with a strong focus on BFSI domain

• Proven track record of acquiring new logos and closing large deals (multi-million USD)

• Demonstrated experience selling into GCCs and financial institutions across India/APAC/ME

• Strong understanding of AI/ML, data, cloud, and digital transformation services

• Experience in consultative and solution-based selling approaches

• Established network of senior stakeholders within BFSI ecosystem

Key Skills & Competencies

• Hunter mindset with strong deal-closing ability

• Executive presence and stakeholder management at CXO level

• Deep domain knowledge in banking, insurance, or capital markets

• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills

• Ability to operate in a global, matrixed organization

• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with or selling to Global Capability Centers (GCCs)

• Exposure to AI-led platforms, automation frameworks, or analytics-driven solutions

• MBA or equivalent business qualification (preferred but not mandatory)
