Role Overview
We are hiring a senior leadership professional to head Business Development & OEM Sales for a reputed Auto Component Manufacturing organization. The role is responsible for driving strategic growth, expanding OEM relationships, and strengthening the company's presence across passenger vehicle, commercial vehicle, EV, and two-wheeler OEMs.
This position requires a leader with deep OEM exposure, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to convert long-cycle opportunities into sustainable revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Business Development & OEM Sales strategy
- Drive revenue growth through new OEM acquisition and existing account expansion
- Own relationships with CXO-level stakeholders at OEMs
- Identify new product opportunities, RFQs, and long-term sourcing programs
- Lead pricing strategy, commercial negotiations, and contract finalization
- Coordinate with Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing teams for OEM approvals
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and future sourcing plans
- Build and mentor a high-performing OEM sales & BD team
- Represent the organization in industry forums, auto expos, and OEM meets
- Ensure alignment with long-term business plans and capacity expansion
Candidate Profile
- 1525 years of experience in Auto Component Manufacturing
- Mandatory experience in selling auto components directly to OEMs
- Strong exposure to RFQ-to-SOP lifecycle
- Proven track record of handling large OEM accounts
- Experience across PV / CV / EV / 2W OEMs preferred
- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Education
- BE / BTech (Mechanical / Automobile preferred)
- MBA (Sales / Marketing / Strategy) preferred
