Job Description

Experience: 1316 years of progressive professional experience in relevant domains

Education: B.E. degree required + MBA preferred

New Business Development:

1. Drive focused business development initiatives for assigned key customers (Top 5 OEMs in India) across Passenger Vehicles (PV), Commercial Vehicles (CV), and Tractor segments.

2. Build strong, collaborative relationships with Purchasing, Engineering, and Program teams across OEMs to identify growth opportunities.

3. Expand business across all product families, including traditional forgings and emerging technologies.

4. Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline of RFQs, ensuring it remains at least 2 the annual turnover.

5. Achieve targeted RFQ-to-order conversion rates through strategic engagement and value-based selling.

6. Align business development activities with the organizational vision to double overall turnover in the next 3 years.

7. Ensure early involvement in new platforms and programs for assigned accounts to maximize business acquisition potential.

Business Finalization:

1. Serve as the overall account owner, responsible for customer relationship management and business growth.

2. Act as the single point of contact for all customer queries, irrespective of internal functional boundaries.

3. Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations, including contract formulation, pricing mechanisms, and long-term agreements.

4. Drive cost recovery initiatives related to raw material and other escalation clauses.

Sales:

1. Achieve yearonyear targets for both existing business retention and new business wins.

2. Prepare the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and longterm strategic business plans for assigned accounts.

3. Provide comprehensive account oversight across:

a. Supply Chain Management

b. Demand planning and shareofbusiness tracking

c. Finance and receivables to maintain robust cash flow

d. Quality and delivery performance including PPM, OTD metrics

4. Lead resolution of customer quality concerns through close coordination with internal quality and operations teams.

5. Support central management initiatives such as strategic reviews, governance meetings, and crossfunctional projects.

6. Oversee project management and ensure successful industrialization and launch of new products.

7. Collaborate closely with internal sales, operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to deliver customer commitments.

8. Generate timely MIS reports and provide insightful updates to senior management.

Job purpose & role

o Ensure achievement of monthly and annual sales targets through continuous planning and monitoring relationships with the external and internal customers.

o Sustained achievement of sales target Quarterly and Yearly.

o Maintain a healthy business pipeline for respective area/customers.

Required Skills & Proficiencies

o Business Development & Account Management experience with OEMs in PV/CV/Tractor segments.

o Strong commercial acumen including pricing, contract negotiation, cost structures, and RFQ management.

o Solid understanding of automotive components (engine, transmission, powertrain and chassis), and new/emerging technologies (EV, light weighting, alternate materials).

o Project management proficiency (APQP/PPAP exposure preferred).

o Working knowledge of quality, supply chain, and operations fundamentals (PPM, delivery performance, escalation handling).

o Excellent relationship management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

o Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking abilities.

o Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, CRM (SAP and Salesforce preferred), and data-driven MIS reporting.

o High ownership, agility, and ability to work crossfunctionally in a fast-paced OEM environment.
